*ON AUG. 1-2, 2009, ART-LOVERS OF THE FREE, OPEN-AIR, 37TH ANNUAL CRAFT FAIR in Biltmore Village had to hoof it in to enjoy a well-attended display of handcrafted works on the grounds of the Cathedral of All Souls Church.

Attendees were not disappointed with the fair, which again proved to be fresh and vibrant. The brush painting and calligraphy of Godwin Kou were delicate and dramatic.

Handcrafted woodworks by artisans from around the nation were well represented at the 2009 Village Art & Craft Fair.

In fact, creative woodworks were some of the fair's most outstanding surprises. Brad Stevenson of Ashtabula, OH, offered a large variety of sunbursts, mirrors and assortment of accessories handcrafted from fine Great Lakes' hardwood.
