Feb, 2, 2010 'State of Downtown' Luncheon on Feb. 4 The Asheville Downtown Association (ADA) and the City of Asheville will co-host the annual "State of Downtown" luncheon on Thurs., Feb. 4, 2010, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Asheville Civic Center's banquet room. The public is invited to attend. Ticket prices include lunch; $10 for ADA members and $12 for non-members. To purchase a ticket, call 828-251-9973. Mayor Terry Bellamy will discuss the City's accomplishments and actions as they pertain to downtown. Also, the Asheville Downtown Commission will review its progress and provide an update on the Downtown Master Plan. 2009 ADA Board Chair Byron Greiner will address challenges facing downtown merchants and residents, as well as the work of ADA. He said, "Our goal for the State of Downtown Luncheon is to bring together downtown stakeholders and talk about where we are, what's important and what our priorities are going into 2010."
