CITY COUNCIL COMMUNITY MEETING AUG. 30, 7 P.M.
Asheville City Council will host an open community meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Public Works Facility located at 161 S. Charlotte Street. The meeting has no formal agenda, so citizens can address elected officials on any topic that is important to them. The meeting also provides an opportunity for residents to learn more about city services. City staff will be available at 6:30 p.m. with informational displays. “Community meetings are structured for citizens to be heard on topics and issues that may not come up in a formal meeting,” explained Mayor Charles Worley. “It’s a great opportunity to broaden communications and foster relationships with citizens because there is no set agenda. We’re there to listen.” Da082905coacommunitymeetingaug30bb *** |
