THU 9/8: MOOT DAVIS & THE COOL DEAL (feat. acclaimed producer/guitarist PETE ANDERSON).  Moot's got a great song that appears in the new Sandra Bullock/Don Cheadle film "Crash", and according to the Detroit Free Press, "...has the potential to be a powerful weapon in the fight to keep country honest, legit and in touch with it's no frills past." Pete Anderson is best known as Dwight Yoakam's musical partner, and has worked with and/or produced albums by: Mr. Yoakam, Michelle Shocked, the Meat Puppets, the Backsliders, and Rosie Flores.  Dallas Wayne, who was originally slated to open the show, has unfortunately had to cancel last minute. $8. 9pm.

 

FRI 9/9: PHOENIX RISING BENEFIT with performances by MAD TEA PARTY, MENAGE, FIRECRACKER JAZZ BAND, and SUGAR & SPICE. Some of Asheville's finest rally to raise money for local victims of a recent fire. $10. 9pm.

 

SAT 9/10: GIGI DOVER & DANIELLE HOWLE. A fantastic double-bill featuring WNCW favorite and rocking country singer/songwriter Gigi Dover and our good friend Danielle Howle. $8. 9pm.

 

SUN 9/11: ELLIS PAUL w/REBECCA LOEBE. Renowned singer/songwriter Ellis Paul returns to Asheville in support of his new record, American Jukebox Fables. Boston-area newcomer Rebecca Loebe opens. Advance tickets available online at www.thegreyeagle.com. $12 advance/$15 day of show. 8pm.
