Asheville police seek trio in Walgreens larceny
Hendersonville Road Walgreens hit Aug. 26
*ANYONE WITH INFO ABOUT THESE THREE SUSPECTS, contact police | The Asheville Police Dept. (APD) reported that they are seeking information on the identities of three suspects in a larceny that occurred at about 7:20 p.m. on Aug. 26, 2009, at Walgreens, located at 2501 Hendersonville Road. The three subjects (pictured above) were recorded on a surveillance video. They reportedly stole over $800 of Schick and Gillette razor blades. Man admits murder, say police
*AT 1:50 P.M. ON AUG. 16, 2009, Asheville police were dispatched to 72 Woodlawn Avenue in reference to a domestic fight | It was reported that a male and female were engaged in a fight and that the male had a knife and was attempting to stab the female. According to Asheville police, by the time police responded, a woman identified as Angela Lorraine Hart was dead, and a man with blood on him who was identified as the suspect known as Rodney Lamar Robinson was said to have admitted that he had committed the homecide. | For more details, Click Here>

Six Charged in Prostitution Sting
*POLICE CONDUCT STREET LEVEL PROSTITUTION OPERATION along S. French Broad Ave., Haywood Rd., and Coxe Ave. | The Asheville Police Dept. reported that six people were charged with soliciting undercover officers for prostitution during a prostitution sting conducted on Dec. 18, 2008. Charged were Ronald Worley (Asheville), Kevin Eugene Smith (Asheville), Stacie Ramsey (Asheville), Kashif Grant (Swannanoa), Boyce Layton, Jr. (Asheville), and Mary Myrick (Asheville).

Man Pleads Guilty in July 4 Murder, Receives 12 Years

Police Announce DUI Crackdown During the Holidays
*ASHEVILLE POLICE are participating in a 2008 holiday campaign to clamp down on intoxicated drivers
| The Asheville Police Department recently announced that it will work in conjunction with agencies statewide and participate in the North Carolina governor’s highway safety program known as “Booze It & Lose It" campaign. Announced actions include stepped up patrols and a concentration on impaired drivers.
