Public Input for Water System City Council Requests Public Input About Asheville Water System
Asheville City Council is holding a special meeting to begin discussing their priorities and management plans for the water system, and they are inviting customers to attend and give their feedback. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 5 p.m. in the Council Chamber on the second floor of City Hall. Two hours will be devoted to public comment, and the meeting will be televised live on the Asheville Channel, Charter Cable channel 11. City Council is expected to address key policy areas including: · Rate Structure: How is affordability and equity achieved? · Growth & Development: How do we promote sustainable growth independent from annexation? · Financial Policies: What policies support sound financial management? · Governance: What model best supports water system priorities?
