When living in Asheville, Joan Ferrell published "Artful Asheville: Along the Urban Trail" by Constance E. Richards.

Ferrell is now an expatriate living in Merida, located in Yucatan, one of the 31 states of Mexico.

She recently wrote an article in YucatanLiving.com about her search for one-of-a-kind handmade crafts.
